Benue: Court throws out Sunny Oche’s case against Unogwu, APC

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed by Engr. Sunday Oche against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ado/Okpoku/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the 2019 general election, Hon. Michael Unogwu.

Also joined in the suit were the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigeria Police as the second and third respondents respectively.

Oche had dragged the duo to court alleged breach of fundamental rights.

However, in his ruling, Justice Musa Sulaiman Liman held that the issues raised by the applicant were purely political in nature and did not amount to any breach of fundamental rights as claimed.
