The political courage example of Ousman Sonko and his supporters, which led to the election of Mr. Diomaye Faye as the new president of Senegal on March 25th, continues to resonate in Benin.

In a post on his “Méta” account, the Beninese artist and singer strongly criticizes Beninese political actors for their cowardice. According to the artist, who has now become an entrepreneur, Beninese politicians have no vision for the country and engage in politics only for money and their selfish interests.

“When I read and see the courageous and selfless actions taken by Ousmane Sonko and his party, and especially all the work done with determination until this scenario that now sees Mr. Diomaye Faye rise to power in Senegal, we can conclude that our politicians in Benin are nothing but clowns and actors who, for selfish interests and fleeting buzz, simply amuse the crowd on social media by pretending to be stars,” the artist bitterly affirms.

According to Richard Flash, these politicians just play the role of the beautiful and strong, but without any political ideals or vision for the people. In short, they have no serious action plan.

“Thirsty for money, power, privileges, and lacking patriotism, they show no humanity towards the Beninese people,” laments the singer. According to him, it is precisely because of their ego that they fail in every struggle, and this has been the case for ages, aging without achieving anything tangible for the country.

“And if they continue to put their own interests and bank accounts above all else, they will certainly die without ever tasting that power since they no longer have the courage to make sacrifices for the nation,” warns Richard Flash, who concludes by saying that he is just a Beninese citizen and also has the right to analyze and give his opinion.
