In a memo published on April 5th, the Director General of the Republican Police, Soumaïla Yaya, highlighted a disparity in the wearing of uniforms by police officers serving in administrative units.

Indeed, it has been observed that some police officers wear uniforms that are normally reserved for operational missions or official ceremonies.

The director general of the national police pointed out that this practice reflects poor organization within the service and harms the image that the uniform should reflect to citizens. In order to remedy this situation, strict measures have been put in place.

Therefore, it is now mandatory to wear specific uniforms adapted to the specific professional environment, whether in technical departments, central commands, or affiliated structures.
