The people responsible for managing the financial resources of political parties are currently undergoing training in Bohicon. The initiative comes from the National Autonomous Electoral Commission (CENA).
The National Electoral Commission (CENA) continues its commitment to transparency and accountability of political parties by organizing a training workshop on the application of provisions related to the financing of political parties, the origin of their wealth, accounting rules, and financial control procedures.
The event is taking place in Bohicon since the morning of Tuesday, April 16, 2024, and will continue until April 18, 2024.
The objective of these three days of work is to improve the governance system within political parties, based on professionalism, transparency, and accountability. It aims to remind party leaders of their obligations under current legislation. Additionally, clear guidelines regarding the management of their accounts will be provided to political parties, they will be sensitized to the importance of justifying funds in accordance with the law, and informed about the process of preparing the financial report.
