President Patrice Talon has promulgated the law amending and supplementing the one of March 25, 2005 establishing a harmonized legal and fiscal regime applicable to the West Africa Gas Pipeline Project in the Republic of Benin.
Voted in parliament on January 23, 2024, the law amending and supplementing the one of March 25, 2005 on the harmonized legal and fiscal regime applicable to the West Africa Gas Pipeline Project in the Republic of Benin has been promulgated.
On March 5, 2024, the President of the Republic, Patrice Talon, signed this act, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Romuald Wadagni, the Minister of Justice, Yvon Detchenou, the Minister of Energy, Water and Mines, Samou Seidou Adambi, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olushegun Adjadi Bakari.
It should be noted that this project involves the installation of compression stations, metering stations, valve stations, interconnection points, and connections for Cotonou (Benin), Lome (Togo), Tema (Ghana), etc.
