After the five jurists who filed a petition against the new electoral code voted on March 5th, Kamel Ouassagari, a deputy of the party Les Démocrates, has also filed a petition before the high court. The petition was registered at the institution’s secretariat on Monday, March 11, 2024.
In his petition, the deputy of the parliamentary group Les Démocrates invites the seven counselors of the constitutional court to declare certain provisions of the new electoral code contrary to the constitution.
These include the new article 192 of the electoral code, articles 37, 132, 146 new. The petitioner invites the court to rule on the constitutionality of these provisions.
