The elements of the Republican police have dismantled several ghettos at the Guéma market in Parakou. Several people were arrested and items seized during the operation.

The Republican police are determined to push back the insecurity in the city of koburu. Last Saturday, March 30, the unit of the Republican police of the third district police station in Parakou dismantled several ghettos.

The operation, which took place at the Guéma market, allowed the police to arrest 16 people. Similarly, several items were seized on the premises. These include tramadol, balls of Indian hemp, counterfeit bills, identity cards from various nationalities, cell phones, motorcycles…

The people arrested are being held at the third district police station in Parakou and will be presented to the prosecutor in the coming days.
