Romaric Boco, a political activist and member of the Bloc Républicain party, was imprisoned following his appearance at the Criet on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Romaric Boco, a young political leader, was placed in custody on Thursday evening. In the afternoon of that day, he was presented to the court of repression of economic crimes and terrorism (Criet) which decided to place him in provisional detention.

He is accused of harassment through electronic communication and threats via electronic means against the Minister of Environmental and Sustainable Development, José Didier Tonato.

After a search at his home, Romaric Boco was placed in custody at the Central Office for the Repression of Cybercrime (Ocrc) before being taken to prison on Thursday. Romaric Boco’s court date is set for Monday, April 15, 2024.
