In the town of Bembèrèkè, a restless crowd, mostly made up of young people, stormed the police station in Bouanri on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
According to information from Bip Radio, last Sunday, a crowd of young people stormed the Bouanri police station, located in the town of Bembèrèkè, to demand the release of three other young people detained by the police.
The individuals in custody are suspected of committing the murder of an entrepreneur who was killed and burned alive in the region. This happened on the night of March 7 to Friday, March 8. Faced with the anger of the very agitated young people, the agents of the Republic Police at the Bouanri police station had to request reinforcements to disperse the crowd.
According to Pascal Dafia, the chief of the Bouanri district, the incident took place around 8 pm on Sunday.
