Around twenty suspected cybercriminals were taken to the civil prison of Akpro-Missérété on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
The republican police is not giving up in the fight against cybercrime-related crimes. On Wednesday, March 6, about thirty people arrested for acts related to cybercrime were presented to the special prosecutor of the court for the repression of economic and terrorism offenses.
At the end of the hearing, 20 suspected cybercriminals were taken to the civil prison of Missérété awaiting the opening of their trial.
On the same day, Wednesday, March 6, 5 other individuals suspected of cybercrime were arrested by the central office for the repression of cybercrime. The suspects were respectively arrested in Cotonou and Abomey Calavi and will soon be presented to the specialized prosecutor.
