The Central Office for the Repression of Cybercrime (OCRC) has alerted the public about a funding platform scam that is using the name of President Patrice Talon for fraudulent activities.

Through an alert published on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, on its official channels, the OCRC stated that “AzureCharge is a fraudulent investment platform” and “is a sophisticated scam, similar to the recent case of “CameoShell”.

The platform, accessible via the link https[:]//benin[.]ezxearn[.]com and various mobile applications (LoopEarn, Fast Earn, Rapid Earn), “promises exceptional earnings in a very short time and maliciously exploits the image of the Head of State”.

In its alert, the OCRC urges the public to be vigilant and advises them to “verify the legitimacy of investment platforms”.

Meanwhile, the OCRC assures that its teams have conducted the necessary investigations and are currently taking steps to put an end to the activities of this fraudulent application in our country.
