Absent from the political scene since his dismissal from the government, former Minister of Justice, Severin Quenum, is getting closer to Olivier Boko.

The former Minister of Justice, Severin Quenum, who left President Patrice Talon’s government with some bitterness, is now getting closer to his former boss’s alter ego. Absent from the political scene for some time, former Minister of Justice and Legislation, Séverin Quenum, met with the women of Lokossa on Saturday, March 9th to share with them the good news of the OB 26 dynamic, as reported by the Nassiara newspaper.

The appearance of the former Minister of Justice reinforces the visibility of the OB 26 dynamic in the commune of Lokossa. Mr. Severin Quenum took advantage of this contact with the women to sensitize them on Olivier Boko’s ideals of equality and justice during the celebration of International Women’s Day.

While many Beninese had expected the collapse of the OB26 dynamic with the adoption of the new electoral code, which questions the possibility of the candidacy of Patrice Talon’s friend (a candidacy reluctantly supported by supporters), that is when the former Minister of Justice lends his support to the dynamic.

But what is the purpose of this support? With the provisions of the new electoral code adopted on March 5th, the chances of Olivier Boko being a candidate in the 2026 presidential election are slim. Unless his supporters have a formula that is not known to everyone.
