A pastor lost his life at the home of one of his grieving followers. The pastor was poisoned while he went to support the young lady who had lost her child.
A tragic event unfolded in Godomey, in the commune of Abomey-Calavi, Atlantique department. A pastor from an evangelical church lost his life after being poisoned. The suspected perpetrator has already been apprehended by the elements of the republican police.
According to testimonies, the faithful church member started attending services less than a month ago. Last weekend, she tragically lost a child. On Monday, the pastor and his wife reportedly went to her house to support and console her. On Tuesday, while the pastor’s wife was busy at home, the pastor visited his grieving follower to offer comfort through prayer.
Upon the pastor’s arrival, the woman allegedly served him juice instead of water. Shortly after, the pastor passed away. The suspected author of the pastor’s death then called his wife asking her to come see her husband. The victim’s mouth reportedly turned green immediately, according to reports.
The suspect, taken to the Godomey police station, Pk 14, reportedly confessed to the accusations against her. She admitted to inadvertently administering a deadly substance to the pastor. According to her statement, she was unaware that a deadly substance had fallen into the juice served to the pastor.
According to our sources, the woman is currently in police custody and will be brought before the prosecutor of the Avomey-Calavi Court in the coming days.
