A university teacher accuses a clairvoyant woman of having taken everything from him through fraud before the court of repression of economic offenses and terrorism.

According to information reported by Banouto, the academic and his medium appeared before the specialized jurisdiction on Monday, March 18.

The accused, a young woman of about 30 years old and a follower of several deities, is said to have deprived the mathematics professor working at a Gabonese university of all his belongings in Benin.

He declared that he had met the defendant during a difficult period for his school, when activities were not going well. The founder of the kindergarten and primary school located in Hêvié called on the skills of the clairvoyant to solve his problem.

According to the professor’s testimony, the medium communicated a shocking revelation to him. She told him that his difficulties were related to a harmful influence exerted on his destiny by members of his family.

“She told me that my deceased mother revealed to her that I had to give the names of all the members of my family to perform occult work in order to free myself,” the teacher testified.

The clairvoyant did not stop there. She had other revelations that she confided to the teacher. “She told me that I had to sell all my belongings in Benin,” said the plaintiff. For this revelation, the university teacher also complied. He claims to have handed over all the original documents of all these plots. These are papers for four plots that house the kindergarten and primary school in Hêvié, two plots in Womey, and half a hectare in Tori-Cada.

In addition to these property titles, the mathematics teacher claims that the young woman stole 22 million CFA francs from him. He claims to have woken up from the medium’s influence after the death of the latter’s godfather.

These statements were refuted by the accused. According to the young lady, it was actually the professor himself who had spoken to her about selling all his belongings. In her statement to the judge, the medium stated that the professor had confided in her about his massive debts in Gabon.

She stated that the teacher had told her that he had debts amounting to 100 million CFA francs in Gabon and that he planned to sell all his belongings in Benin to settle them.

In their explanations, both parties agreed on the prices of the real estate properties. The cost of the school was set at 65 million CFA francs, the half-hectare in Tori-Cada at 5 million, and the two plots in Womey at 14 million, totaling 84 million CFA francs.

Regarding the total amount, the clairvoyant claimed to have paid 59 million CFA francs and only had 25 million left to pay on behalf of the school.

When asked how she managed to mobilize so much money to acquire these properties, she stated that she had received a donation of 40 million from one of her clients in Europe. She also revealed her practice of several deities and claimed to own several shoe stores, plastic products, and other items at her home in the commune of Abomey-Calavi.

In the statements of the two parties, several names were mentioned, leading the Court to decide to hear these individuals in this case. Therefore, the court set the date of April 29, 2024 for their hearing.
