In Garou, a district of the Municipality of Malanville, in the department of Alibori, a clash between farmers and herders has caused significant material damage.
According to information shared by Sota Fm, a serious incident occurred on Monday, March 25, 2024, where a farmer was killed by a herder in his field.
The alleged perpetrator was apprehended by the police and held at the police station for a few hours before being taken to a secret location. However, the farmers then sought revenge by committing acts of vandalism, setting fire to homes and warehouses.
Security forces descended on the scene to restore peace. At the same time, the farmers took action at the Garou police station to end the case involving the alleged murderer.
