Press officers from the Beninese Forces of Defense and Security (FDS) are nearing the end of their third training course. A total of 11 officers have been trained in strategic communication.

In a context where globalization and the development of the internet have given rise to a new threat, which is nothing other than the information war, the Beninese authorities requested and obtained, within the framework of Belgian cooperation, the training of eleven (11) officers of the Forces of Defense and Security (FDS) in strategic communication.

This training, aimed at qualifying them as press officers, took place from March 18 to April 5, 2024 in Cotonou and represents an opportunity for these officers to contribute to the communicational development of the FDS and to strengthen their image with society.

The closing ceremony of this 3rd training course was attended by representatives from the Chief of Staff of the Beninese Armed Forces, the Director General of the Republican Police, the Defense Attache of the Kingdom of Belgium in Benin, and Belgian and Beninese training experts. It ended with the presentation of training certificates to all participants to the satisfaction of everyone.
