Barrakad reveals the government incentives of Morocco in Berlin

This edition was marked by the participation of more than 3000 prominent representatives from the international tourism and hotel industry, renowned investors, major hotel investors and managers, sovereign funds, sector experts, and opinion leaders. Morocco was put in the spotlight during this edition, especially following the social and economic reforms implemented by the country which further stimulate tourism investments.

Imad Barrakad, General Manager of SMIT, who took part in this event, presented the advancements and significant reforms carried out by the Kingdom, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The new investment incentives granted by the Moroccan government to investors as well as the portfolio of projects and business opportunities were also highlighted, according to a statement from SMIT.

Barrakad also called on the present tourism investors to take advantage of the momentum surrounding Morocco’s bid to host the 2030 World Cup – alongside Spain and Portugal – to consider Morocco as a destination, particularly focusing on the cities of Fez, Tangier, Casablanca, and Rabat.

Additionally, high-level meetings were organized on the sidelines of IHIF with investors and major international chains interested in Morocco.

Several national operators and investors also took part in this investment event, showcasing the public-private partnership that the tourism sector benefits from.
