Africa Travel Week (ATW) is gearing up for an exciting WTM Africa 2024 content programme, set to take place at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC) from 10 to 12 April. With just under two weeks to go, the event promises to be a hub of industry knowledge, connection, and business growth, featuring over 73 live sessions.
Olivia Gradidge, Marketing Manager of Africa Travel Week, expressed enthusiasm for the milestone growth year of the industry and WTM Africa as they celebrate a decade of hosting Africa’s premier B2B inbound and outbound tourism trade event. The content programme has been carefully curated to reflect this significant milestone, with a focus on offering high-demand industry and business topics such as responsible tourism, MICE and business travel, travel tech and artificial intelligence, social media marketing, inclusivity, and sports tourism. Attendees can also look forward to the release of the latest Africa Travel Week Trends Report, followed by a panel discussion on Friday, 12 April.
In a bid to foster collaboration and attendee-driven discussions, Africa Travel Week has introduced the Brain Box concept this year. These interactive sessions aim to bring together tourism players of all levels to engage in conversation and find solutions to shared challenges. The theme for this year’s content programme is “Step Inside,” inviting participants to immerse themselves in the discussions during each Brain Box session.
Sustainability is a key focus at WTM Africa, with official show partners like Fair Trade Tourism playing a crucial role in the content programme. Fair Trade Tourism will host a practical Brain Box workshop that delves into how responsible destinations and initiatives can effectively reach the global marketplace. This emphasis on sustainability reflects the industry’s growing commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Gradidge encourages attendees to register and engage fully with the content programme, promising a rewarding experience that will leave them feeling more informed, connected, and confident in driving their businesses forward. With something for everyone, from expert-led presentations to collaborative Brain Box sessions, Africa Travel Week aims to provide a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to learn, connect, and grow.
As the event draws near, industry stakeholders are gearing up to participate in this exciting opportunity to network, learn, and contribute to the advancement of Africa’s tourism industry. With a robust content programme that reflects the industry’s latest trends and challenges, WTM Africa 2024 promises to be a must-attend event for anyone involved in the tourism sector.
