Attacks on the Iranian consulate in Damascus: Tunisia denounces a violation of international law.

Tunisia has strongly condemned the raid carried out by Zionist occupation forces against the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, which resulted in several casualties.

This attack constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic as well as international charters and agreements, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Tunisia believes that the ongoing violation of international law by the Zionist entity could have disastrous consequences for security and peace in both the Middle East and the world as a whole, the same source said. In this regard, Tunisia reaffirmed its stand with Syria against any aggression targeting its security and territorial integrity, offering its sincerest condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the families of the victims. According to the Syrian News Agency, an airstrike carried out by Zionist forces targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria, on Monday at 5 pm.
