Hon. Engr. Sagir Ibrahim Koki, Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources and Member representing Kano Municipal Federal Constituency, has resigned from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

He cited persistent leadership crises at the party’s national level.

In a resignation letter dated November 11, 2025, addressed to the Zaitawa Ward Chairperson, Koki explained that the ongoing internal crisis at the party’s centre had made it difficult, if not impossible for him to deliver effective representation to his constituents.
