A chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in Ondo State, Tosin Ayeni, has resigned from the party.

In the letter to the Chairman of the party in Oke Aro/Uro 11 Ward 9, Akure Local Government Area of the state on Monday, Ayeni said the party lacked the capacity to win elections.

DAILY POST recalls that the governorship candidate of NNPP in the November 16, 2024 election, Olugbenga Edema, on Sunday resigned from the party alleging lack of sincerity in winning elections.

Ayeni, who first won the governorship ticket of the party for the 2024 poll before withdrawing from the race, alleged that the party had been sold out.”
