On this Wednesday, April 10th, Algeria celebrates the first day of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. It is a day of joy and festivities that brings families and loved ones together. To fully enjoy this special day, continue reading and discover the detailed weather forecast for the day.
In its weather bulletin for Wednesday, April 10th, the National Office of Meteorology (ONM) predicts mostly clear skies in the West and Central regions of the country. However, cloudy skies are expected at night in the coastal areas of the Center, accompanied by some local rains.
In the Eastern regions of the country, Météo Algérie forecasts cloudy periods both along the coast and inland, with local showers. These weather conditions will intensify in the evening, giving way to sometimes stormy rains overnight.
On the high plateaus and the Aurès region, mostly clear to partly cloudy skies will dominate, although isolated thunderstorm cells may form late in the day, bringing some precipitation, particularly in the Aurès region.
Finally, in the vast Algerian South, the ONM predicts mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. However, some regions such as the oases and the eastern Sahara will experience more cloudy weather, which may even become locally overcast, but will gradually improve in the early afternoon.
Also, it is important to note that temperatures will slightly decrease after the recent heatwave that affected various regions of the country. For Wednesday, April 10th, temperatures will range between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius along the coast, between 15 and 26 degrees Celsius further inland, while reaching between 22 and 42 degrees Celsius in the Saharan regions.
Furthermore, the services of Météo Algérie maintain a yellow alert for risks of “strong winds” and “sandstorms” in several wilayas of the country. Indeed, this alert concerns the wilayas of TIMIMOUN, BÉNI-ABBÈS, IN-SALAH, TINDOUF, EL-MENIAA, ADRAR, and BÉCHAR. Caution is advised, especially on the roads, due to possible sandstorms that could reduce visibility.
