The Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Fayçal Bentaleb, stated that there are no more reassuring guarantees than the declaration of the Presidency concerning the unemployment benefit.
Indeed, Minister Bentaleb declared on Thursday, in a statement to the press in response to the rumors surrounding the unemployment benefit, that it is an exemplary experience par excellence.
Furthermore, Fayçal Bentaleb confirmed that the dates for granting the benefit are proceeding normally, indicating that there are 27,000 appointments in April, 35,000 in May, and 25,000 in June.
He also responded to questions regarding the recruitment process through the new mechanism called Supported Work Contracts “CTA,” stating regarding transfers, “There are no transfers.”
It should be noted that the Presidency denied on April 14 any freeze or suspension of the unemployment benefit or any new measure aimed at reconfiguring eligibility conditions, reassuring more than two million young Algerians that the benefit is maintained and that there are no changes in its conditions, and that those spreading rumors during this period aim to manipulate and misinform to create chaos.
The presidency categorically denies rumors about the unemployment benefit.
The Presidency of the Republic recently reacted to unfounded rumors regarding alleged changes in the granting of unemployment benefits. According to an official statement released on Sunday, these allegations are baseless and amount to disinformation.
In a press release, the Presidency of the Republic categorically denied the misleading information circulating on social networks and in some media outlets. These erroneous claims, falsely alleging changes in the conditions for granting unemployment benefits, were described as “fake news” and manipulation attempts.
The presidential statement emphasized the importance of the measure in question, stating that it aimed to relieve a portion of the population, especially the youth. The Presidency of the Republic sought to reassure, stating that “this flagship measure aimed at relieving a segment of society, especially our youth, is an irreversible gain and that nothing will change regarding the terms of granting this unemployment benefit which also entitles to social coverage and the Chiffa card”.
