In recent years, tourism has slowly been reclaiming its place in the Algerian landscape. Indeed, today’s younger generation continues to create and innovate in terms of travel and local tourism. Thirsty for adventure and discovery, young Algerians are trying to write a new chapter in the country’s history.

Wild camping for one night, from sunset to sunrise, is called Bivouac. It is a form of camping practiced in the wilderness, in an unimproved or minimally improved area. The preferred refuge is usually a makeshift shelter or a tent. Wild camping fits easily into the framework of a forest or beach hike and is often the only form of camping allowed in natural parks.

Where are the best places to camp for one night?
Jijel
The Jijel coast, which is 121.2 km long, is divided into two very different areas: the rocky western coast where you can find cliffs, caves, and small beaches with golden sand. And the eastern coast, known for its long sandy beaches, from the municipality of Taher to the border with the wilaya of Skikda.
Throughout the coast, both east and west of the wilaya, you will find beautiful places where you can set up your campsite.

Béjaia
With a coastline of more than 100 km, the wilaya of Béjaïa has more than 44 beaches. Its western coast is a series of long beaches with fine golden sand, stretching from the mouth of the Soummam river to that of the Agrioun river.
While its east coast is the ideal place for seaside tourism where the sea and the mountains come together to form an idyllic landscape. It extends from Cap Carbon to Cap Sigli. And there are plenty of places to pitch your camp there.

Chlef
For more than 20 years now, the wilaya of Chlef has been making huge efforts to open up beaches authorized for swimming on its coast, and their number is constantly increasing. Indeed, the wilaya is full of magnificent sites, ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city and marveling at the beauty of its nature.
The authorities have implemented a local strategy for the use of beaches given the importance of its coastline, which is one of the longest in the country, stretching over a length of 129 km. Surrounded by forests and mountains, the beaches experience a significant influx of camping and outdoor vacation enthusiasts every season.

Mostaganem
The wilaya stretches along a 124 km coastal strip that extends from La Macta in the west to El Bahara on the border with the wilaya of Chlef in the east.
It has more than forty-five beaches, with about thirty authorized for swimming. With their forests, dunes, and coves, these wonderful sites allow campers to enjoy swimming and the pleasure of sleeping under the stars.
