The National Company of Rail Transportation (SNTF) denied, on Wednesday, the rumors circulating on social media and some newspapers regarding an alleged increase in ticket prices.
On its official Facebook page, the SNTF published a statement clarifying that “ticket prices have not increased and remain in effect at the normal rate on all lines.”
The company explains that the origin of these rumors could be a “misinterpretation” of executive decree No. 24-75 of 27 Rajab 1445, corresponding to February 8, 2024, fixing the fares for passenger transport provided by the SNTF.
This decree, published in the Official Journal No. 10, actually aims to “provide a regulatory basis for the fares applied since 2008, which have remained unchanged to this day,” the SNTF emphasizes.
