ALGIERS, Monday, March 18, 2024 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune appointed Boualem Boualem, the Director of the Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, as head of the High National Commission for Appeals regarding investment, which was recently established.
“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, installed today the High National Commission for Appeals regarding investment, chaired by Mr. Boualem Boualem (…). It is a high authority responsible for ruling on appeals submitted by investors,” said the statement from the Presidency.
During the meeting, President Tebboune emphasized his “particular interest” in the field of investment. On this occasion, he praised the efforts of the Council for Algerian Economic Renewal (CREA) – chaired by Kamel Moula – to “boost investment, diversify the national economy, and reduce dependence on hydrocarbons.”
Furthermore, the Head of State expressed his satisfaction with the results of cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and CREA. The latter actively supported the initiative to lower prices of commonly consumed products during the month of Ramadan 2024.
