Last Sunday, Mohammad Mustafa, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, warmly praised Algeria’s constant commitment to the Palestinian cause. He particularly praised Algeria’s efforts to promote Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations and for its humanitarian assistance to the population of Gaza, victim of brutal Israeli aggression.
Speaking to the press after his meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in Algiers, Mustafa conveyed the thanks of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people to Algeria for its unwavering support. He also expressed gratitude for Algeria’s diplomatic efforts and its role on the Security Council in favor of the rights of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Prime Minister also praised Algeria’s support for humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip, which is experiencing a devastating war. He emphasized the importance of facilitating relief operations to allow for faster and more abundant delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, in order to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian children and enable them to remain in their homeland.
Mustafa expressed the wish for relief efforts to be intensified, subject to conditions that allow for such action. He emphasized the crucial importance of these efforts to alleviate the inhumane situation in Gaza and ensure the safety and well-being of Palestinian civilians.
President Tebboune assured Mustafa that Algeria’s support for Palestine would continue until it achieves full membership in the United Nations and full independence. He also emphasized Algeria’s willingness to intensify relief efforts in Gaza as soon as possible.
Algeria continues to be a crucial pillar of support for Palestine, both diplomatically and humanitarianly. Its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause demonstrates its solidarity and support for justice and dignity for all oppressed peoples.
