EMPLOYMENT – The Algerian giant of hydrocarbons, SONATRACH, announced yesterday – Tuesday, March 19 – the recruitment of 880 candidates in the wilayas of Algiers, Boumerdès, Béjaïa, Skikda, and Laghouat.
This major recruitment operation follows the unified selection competition that the group organized between December 30, 2023, and January 3, 2024, in the aforementioned five wilayas, as they contain entities of the company.
Initially intended to hire 1265 workers to “meet SONATRACH’s needs in its administrative and production structures,” the operation ultimately led to the selection, in order of merit, of 880 candidates.

These “lucky ones,” the national company says in its announcement, will be gradually summoned to complete the administrative formalities related to their definitive recruitment in their new positions.
Regarding the positions that have not been filled – 385 of them – due to a lack of candidates meeting the desired profiles, SONATRACH stated that they will be rescheduled in the recruitment plan for the current year.
Furthermore, the oil group revealed that a total of 4,459 candidates took part in this competition organized in collaboration with the National Employment Agency (ANEM), which utilized its digital platform, OGC, to send out 5,465 invitations.
