As the month of March comes to an end, a weather reversal is emerging on the horizon, with the return of cold weather and snowfall. Starting this Tuesday, the weather forecast predicts a drop in temperatures and snowfall in several regions of the country.

According to the National Meteorology Office (ONM), some snowfall will mark the reliefs of the Center, reaching altitudes of 1000 to 1100 meters by the end of the evening. These weather forecasts also predict some snowflakes on the mountain peaks inland as well as on the high plateaus of the West.

Furthermore, it should be noted that temperatures are experiencing a slight decrease. In coastal regions, the maximum temperatures will range from 14°C to 24°C, while in inland regions, they will fluctuate between 17°C and 26°C. As for the Saharan regions, the thermometer will display temperatures ranging from 25°C to 38°C. This significant temperature variation indicates a noticeable weather change, inviting residents to prepare for late winter weather conditions.

In addition, the weather bulletin for March 26 predicts a mostly cloudy sky over the northern regions of the country, with rain showers, sometimes thunderstorms, and even hail in some places in the West and Center. These precipitation are expected to spread to the East in the late afternoon and evening.

As for the Saharan regions, the ONM forecast predicts an increasingly cloudy to locally cloudy sky over the Béchar region and the North Sahara from late afternoon, with some thunderstorms in the evening. Météo Algérie also specifies that in other regions, the sky will be generally clear to partially veiled.

Furthermore, Météo Algérie has issued three special weather bulletins (BMS) placing several regions of the country on orange alert due to potentially dangerous weather conditions related to strong winds.

The first bulletin announces strong winds in the wilayas of Naama, El Bayadh, Laghouat, Djelfa, M’Sila, Batna, El M’ghair, Ouled Djellal, Biskra, Ghardaïa, Touggourt, and El Oued.
