While a spring-like weather has marked the days recently, the weather forecasts for the beginning of this week announce an imminent change, with the probable return of rain and a slight drop in temperatures in sight. In this article, let’s discover what the sky has in store for us this Sunday, March 24, 2024!

The sky is preparing for a significant change with the arrival of a cloudy veil covering the Northern regions of the country. However, some clearings are expected in the Center and the East, especially along the coastal regions.

For our great South, the weather forecasts for this Sunday paint a contrasting picture. The Northern Sahara and the Western Sahara are expected to experience a cloudy sky, with a few rare rainy episodes in the region of Béchar. On the other hand, the other Saharan regions will enjoy a clear to partially veiled sky.

This Sunday, temperatures are expected to decrease slightly compared to previous days. Coastal regions like Béjaia and Algiers will display pleasant temperatures of 20°C and 21°C respectively. In cities like Oran and El Tarf, the mercury will reach around 23°C.

Meanwhile, temperatures in Naama and Blida will be around 26°C. Regions further south, like Biskra, will record higher temperatures, with values around 29°C. In El Meniaa, Tindouf, and Illizi, temperatures are expected to range between 30°C and 32°C. Furthermore, Adrar, In Guezzam, and Timimoun will experience high temperatures around 37°C.

Weather alert in Algeria: strong winds and sandstorms expected this Sunday!

The National Meteorological Office (ONM) has issued a yellow weather alert for “strong winds” and “sandstorms” in several provinces in the Southwest of the country. According to information from Météo Algérie, this alert concerns the provinces of Timimoun, Béni-Abbès, Tindouf, El-Bayadh, Adrar, Naâma, and Béchar.

These weather phenomena can cause disruptions in these regions and require increased vigilance on the part of residents. It is strongly recommended to take appropriate precautions to protect oneself against these winds.
