Algerian applicants for Schengen visas must go through one of the visa application centers located in Algeria to submit their visa applications. VFS Global is one of the service providers that offer their services to Algerians.
In this context, the Italian Embassy in Algeria announced on Monday, March 4, 2024, the opening of a new visa application center for Italy in Algeria.
Opening of a new visa application center for Italy in Hassi Messaoud
To meet the demand for Italian visas, the Italian Embassy decided to open a new VFS Global center in Hassi Messaoud. This was announced in a statement posted on the embassy’s official page last Monday.
The new center was inaugurated in the presence of the Italian Consul in Algeria, Omar Appolloni, along with representatives from VFS Global, ENI, and several local dignitaries. The opening of this new establishment is dedicated to meeting the needs of Algerian companies operating in the oil and gas sector, as stated by the Italian Embassy in its statement.
Therefore, the new center will be open from Tuesday to Thursday, from 8:30 am to 4 pm. It is important to note that Italy has the largest network of eight visa application centers, including in Algiers, Oran, Annaba, Bejaia, Constantine, Ghardaïa, Tindouf, and Adrar. The establishment in Hassi Messaoud is the 9th visa application center for Italy in the country.
Concerning Italian visa applications, VFS Global recently launched a new system. Visa applicants must use a new application that is based on facial recognition technology for scheduling appointments.
Furthermore, VFS Global made a new announcement regarding visa applications for minors. Additionally, they have introduced a new system for minors applying for visas to France.
