During the meeting of the Council of Ministers presided over by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, today Sunday, strategic decisions were made to revitalize the mobile phone industry in Algeria.
Indeed, the President of the Republic ordered the development of specifications for the launch of projects for the installation and assembly of mobile phones in Algeria, and also called for the promotion of investment in smartphones by integrating specialized young Algerian skills. This aims to strengthen their experience through partnerships with both local and foreign actors.
Furthermore, the Head of State ordered the postponement of the draft law on foundation assets for further study, emphasizing the importance of new guidelines for managing this vital sector.
The President welcomed the report on the progress of digitization, and called for better interaction and coordination between ministries, especially regarding our economic policy.
Tebboune orders to accelerate digitization
In addition, President Tebboune urged increased efforts to implement directives aimed at speeding up digitization, emphasizing its importance for the country’s economic development.
Furthermore, Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized the importance of developing renewable energies, focusing on the use of appropriate mechanisms and technologies for a well thought out energy transition.
The President ordered the preparation of specifications for the reconstruction of the green dam, involving local companies in reforestation, irrigation, and maintenance.
He also ordered that the extension of the green dam plantation include dune areas, due to the advancement of sand, to protect these regions.
The Council of Ministers meeting ended with the approval of presidential decrees, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the economic and environmental development of Algeria.
