The Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, chaired an important government meeting on Wednesday, dedicated to the study and examination of several crucial issues. According to an official statement, the session focused on following the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, regarding agricultural development, particularly in the South of the country, as well as the digital transformation process and the growth of the container industry.

A large part of the meeting focused on strengthening the grain storage capacity, a strategic element for national food security. Projects for the construction of grain silos were discussed for implementation. Additionally, a presentation was made on the situation of agricultural investments in the South of the country, highlighting opportunities to increase production and contribution to national food security.

Furthermore, as part of the digital transformation project initiated by the President of the Republic, a review was conducted on the digitization of the labor and social security sector. The objective is to simplify and speed up administrative procedures, particularly by facilitating the transition to the second generation of the Chiffa card.

Stimulating the national container and smartphone industry

Additionally, the government examined measures aimed at promoting the development of the national container industry. Efforts are being made to support operators active in this specialized sector.

In conclusion, a detailed presentation on the national smartphone market was made, highlighting measures taken to encourage local production of these devices. The goal is to support operators and investors to establish their projects in Algeria and effectively meet consumer needs while ensuring digital security.
