Sidi Bel Abbès, April 9, 2024 – Monday evening, just before iftar, investigators discovered three bodies buried in a farm located at the entrance of the commune of Mestfa Ben Brahim, 30 km east of Sidi Bel Abbès.
This macabre discovery comes a few days after citizens reported the disappearance of their relatives, which occurred at regular intervals and under mysterious circumstances.
According to well-informed local sources, the victims would have been lured to the place called “Ferme El Abbad” at different times by members of a gang specializing in the theft of luxury cars. They would then have been killed upon their arrival at the farm, after being “lured by the offer of transportation to other distant wilayas.”
The victims were “active individuals” on a well-known carpooling application.
Investigators were able to locate the three bodies after tracking the movements of one of the suspects and arresting him. During the search of the farm, a member of the security forces noticed a hand sticking out of the mounds of earth covering the bodies.
