The President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, presided today, Sunday, March 24, over a meeting of the Council of Ministers dedicated to presentations on several sectors, according to a statement from the Council of Ministers.

Indeed, this Council of Ministers focused on presentations related to the follow-up of the implementation of complementary development programs in the wilayas of Khenchela, Tissemsilt, Djelfa and Tindouf, the progress report on the general agriculture census, and the program for the electrical connection of agricultural farms, industrial zones, and activity zones, as well as the state of preparations for the 2024 Olympic Games.

After the presentation by the High Commissioner for Digitization of her periodic report, which recorded significant progress in terms of interconnection between different authorities and public administrations and the launch of a national data center (Data Center), the Council of Ministers approved a contract by direct negotiation between the High Commissioner for Digitization and the Chinese company Huawei given its urgent nature.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic emphasized the imperative reinforcement of national cohesion, which is at the center of his priorities, through a strategy based on a development balance capable of catching up on the deficiencies recorded in the past in certain regions compared to others.

He also urged to give major importance to the completion of development programs in these wilayas, which have been deprived for decades.

Regarding the wilaya of Djelfa, the President of the Republic insisted on the importance of urban planning and the harmonization of the wilaya’s capital with the modern urban expansion.

The President of the Republic praised the efforts of the Ministry of Health in equipping the health facilities of the wilaya of Tindouf, in accordance with the commitment made during his last visit to the wilaya, which will provide and ensure better health services to citizens, and ordered an increase in the quota of rural housing for the wilaya of Tissemsilt from 3,000 to 15,000 units.
