Future Algerian pilgrims are multiplying their preparations to complete the procedures allowing them to reach the holy lands and perform the Hajj ritual, the fifth pillar of Islam. In fact, the National Office of Hajj and Umrah has issued a new statement announcing the launch of the ticket booking operation.

In a new statement posted on its official page, the ONPO announced the start of ticket reservations for pilgrims traveling with the ONPO.

Launch of the travel ticket reservation operation to the holy lands

Indeed, the ONPO has announced the start of reservations for travel tickets for pilgrims traveling with the office, scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2024, starting from 10:30 p.m. Particularly through the electronic portal “Bawabat El Hadj,” or through the mobile application “ركب الحجيج.”

Furthermore, the National Office of Pilgrimage and Umrah indicates that this operation is part of the process of booking tickets to Saudi Arabia. In addition, the statement adds that this operation will begin for the airports of Annaba, El Oued, Bechar, Ouargla, Tamanrasset, Batna, Ghardaia, and Tlemcen. While the remaining airports will resume the reservation operation after finalizing preparations with the airlines.

Extension of the deadline for payment of Hajj 2024 fees

The National Office of Pilgrimage and Umrah previously announced the extension of the deadline for payment of Hajj fees and the completion of required administrative and health procedures. This has been extended to April 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., following a request from several citizens.

In this context, the ONPO encourages future pilgrims to complete the required procedures before the new deadline expires, stating that its various services remain available to them, including on Fridays and Saturdays. In its announcement, the ONPO informs that Hajj booklets whose holders do not pay the fees within the specified deadlines will be canceled.
