As Eid al-Fitr approaches, the weather forecast is predicting a significant change. The festive days could be marked by storms and a drop in temperatures, according to the National Meteorological Office, turning the festive atmosphere into a more melancholic setting.
Eid al-Fitr Weather: Forecasts for Northern Regions
For the upcoming week, which marks the end of Ramadan, the Eid al-Fitr weather reports predict gray skies and precipitation.
Houaria Ben Rekta, communication manager for the National Meteorological Office, announces that for Eid al-Fitr, we should expect cloudy skies, scattered showers, and thunderstorms, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Temperatures, on the other hand, will experience a moderate drop, ranging between 18 and 25°C. The middle of the week will see a more significant decrease in mercury, with temperatures expected between 14 and 22°C.
This unexpected coolness will offer a striking contrast with the usual heat of this period, bringing a welcome relief to the Eid al-Fitr festivities.
Situation in the Southern States
Unlike the north, the southern states will benefit from generally clear weather, with some isolated storms. Temperatures will be higher, ranging between 36 and 40°C, and could even reach 42°C in the central desert.
Ben Rekta emphasizes that improvement is expected on Thursday in the central and western states, while the eastern states will remain under clouds and rain, with a continuous drop in temperatures.
