3,000 Geely vehicles are currently being cleared at Algerian ports, after the arrival of a third shipment from China on Wednesday, March 20.
This shipment includes approximately 1,000 cars, adding to the 2,200 already present at the port of Djen Djen in Jijel since March 7 and 16.
A fourth delivery is expected on March 29, and deliveries to customers will begin as soon as the customs clearance procedures are completed and the vehicles are transported to Geely agencies across the country.
Demand for Geely cars remains very high, with over 32,000 confirmed sales and 6,000 pending applications. Geely’s digital platform has recorded over 60,000 requests, a record number.
It is worth mentioning that Geely Algeria plans to build an assembly plant in Médéa by 2026, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles. The GX3 Pro, Coolray, and Emgrand models will be manufactured at this plant, and will also be exported to Africa.
