ALGIERS, February 25, 2024 – The Ministry of Agriculture has decided to terminate the functions of the CEO of Algerian Red Meat (ALVIAR), Lamine Derradji.

This dismissal, as indicated by the ministry’s statement, follows the non-compliance by L. Derradji with his commitments regarding the supply of red meat to the domestic market.

To recall, Lamine Derradji has been serving as the CEO of ALVIAR for three (3) years. He was appointed to lead the organization in place of Adlane Bédouhene, who was removed from his position due to mismanagement.

Therefore, Algerians hope that his replacement will demonstrate more efficiency in handling the red meat issue, especially as we are only a few weeks away from the month of Ramadan in 2024.
