MILITARY AIRPORT OF BOUFARIK, Thursday, March 28, 2024 – Algeria repatriated 51 children (45 Palestinians and 6 Algerians) who were injured as a result of the Israeli aggression and bombings on the Gaza Strip from Cairo Airport on Thursday evening.
The operation, carried out in accordance with the orders of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, took place aboard two medical aircraft from the Algerian Air Force. The injured and traumatized children will receive care at military hospitals and ANP centers.
The President’s initiative is to take care of 450 Palestinian children injured in the ongoing war in Gaza so that they can receive treatment in Algeria. This humanitarian action will be followed by other evacuation operations that will focus on the injured who have undergone amputations.
Algeria continues its efforts to repatriate Algerian nationals stranded in the Gaza Strip despite obstacles. It is working closely with Egyptian authorities, the Palestinian Red Crescent, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to achieve this.
In the days leading up to this, Algeria has established an airlift to deliver humanitarian aid to the civilians in Gaza affected by the war. This solidarity operation continues and will be followed by additional aid shipments next week.
These various initiatives clearly demonstrate Algeria’s unconditional support for the brotherly Palestinian people in this difficult time they are going through, as highlighted by the APS.
