The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, accompanied by his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raïssi, presided over the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements and protocols in various areas today.

Indeed, according to a statement from the Presidency, a protocol agreement was signed between the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups and the delegation of the Presidency of the Republic for Science, Technology, and Knowledge Economy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Also signed was a protocol agreement between the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Traditional Industries of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Furthermore, a protocol agreement was signed between the Ministry of Communication and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran regarding cooperation in the media field.

Additionally, a protocol agreement was signed for cooperation in the field of sports for the years 2024-2025.

In conclusion, Iran and Algeria have strengthened their ties through the signing of these agreements in different areas, opening up new perspectives for cooperation between the two countries. These agreements demonstrate the willingness of both countries to enhance their cooperation in key areas such as the economy, tourism, culture, media, and sports. This collaboration promises to be fruitful and beneficial for both nations.

Tebboune receives his Iranian counterpart

Furthermore, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, gave an official welcome to his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raïssi, at the Presidential Palace on Sunday, where the two presidents held private discussions.

The two Presidents listened to the national anthems of both countries and reviewed detachments of various forces of the National People’s Army (ANP) who honored them.

Prior to this, the Iranian President visited the Martyr’s Sanctuary in Algiers where he paid his respects to the martyrs of the glorious National Liberation War.

It is worth noting that the Iranian President is on an official visit to Algeria after participating in the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
