The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, welcomed on Friday afternoon at the Houari-Boumediene International Airport, several of his Arab and African counterparts who arrived in Algiers to take part in the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, March 2, 2023.
Indeed, the President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, welcomed at the Houari-Boumediene International Airport his Senegalese counterpart, Macky Sall, his Tunisian counterpart, Kaïs Saïed, the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Younes Al-Menfi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and his Iraqi counterpart, Abdul Latif Jamal, who arrived in Algiers to participate in the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), scheduled for Saturday.
Furthermore, on Friday, an extraordinary ministerial meeting of the 7th GECF Summit took place at the International Conference Center in Algiers. Energy ministers from member and observer countries gathered to discuss the final version of the Algiers Declaration and associated resolutions.
Participants will discuss the final version of the Algiers Declaration, as well as the related resolutions. These documents will then be submitted for approval at the summit on Saturday. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune will preside over this important event.
Arkab affirms Algeria’s commitment to the success of the 7th GECF Summit in Algiers
