Africa Travel Week (ATW) is gearing up for an exciting edition of WTM Africa 2024, set to take place at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC) from 10 – 12 April. With just under two weeks to go, the event promises to deliver a content programme that focuses on industry knowledge, connection, and business growth.

Olivia Gradidge, the Marketing Manager of Africa Travel Week, expressed enthusiasm about the milestone year for the industry and WTM Africa, as they celebrate a decade of hosting Africa’s top B2B inbound and outbound tourism trade event. The team has worked hard to elevate the content programme to reflect this special occasion.

The 2024 edition of WTM Africa will feature over 73 live sessions covering a wide range of industry and business topics. These include responsible tourism, MICE and business travel, travel tech and artificial intelligence (AI), social media marketing, inclusivity, and sports tourism. Attendees can also look forward to the release of the latest Africa Travel Week Trends Report, followed by a panel discussion on Friday, 12 April.

One of the highlights of this year’s event is the introduction of the Brain Box concept, aimed at fostering collaborative discussions among attendees. The theme for the content programme is “Step Inside,” inviting participants to engage in interactive sessions that address shared challenges in the tourism industry.

Sustainability is a key focus at WTM Africa, with official show partners carefully selected and integrated into the content programme. Fair Trade Tourism will host a practical Brain Box workshop to explore how responsible destinations and initiatives can reach the global marketplace.

According to Gradidge, there is something for everyone in the three-day content programme, but attendees must register to fully benefit from the experience. By participating in the sessions, participants can expect to gain valuable insights, forge powerful connections, and feel empowered to drive their businesses forward.

In conclusion, Africa Travel Week is gearing up for a dynamic and insightful edition of WTM Africa 2024, with a comprehensive content programme designed to elevate industry knowledge and foster meaningful connections among stakeholders. Whether you are a seasoned professional or new to the industry, WTM Africa promises an enriching experience that will leave you feeling informed, connected, and inspired to take your business to new heights.
