Nike has revealed the new jersey for the Eagles.
Ghana’s newly appointed coach, Otto Addo, has explained that he decided to leave out Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey from the Black Stars team that will face the Super Eagles in a friendly match on March 24. Addo stated that Partey requested to be excused from the game in order to fully recover from recent injuries and regain fitness.

Partey was sidelined from Ghana’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire due to injuries, which ultimately led to the team’s early exit from the tournament. Since August, Partey has only played for a total of 41 minutes due to a series of muscle injuries. He recently made his comeback for Arsenal against Sheffield United and made a late appearance as a substitute in their win against Brentford. Partey was also included in Arsenal’s squad for the Champions League victory over Porto.

Following his extended absence from the pitch, Arsenal has been cautious in managing Partey’s return to action, especially after he experienced a setback in his recovery process when he resumed training in January.

Addo has selected a 27-man squad for the upcoming match in Morocco, including debutants such as David Akologo from Bolivia, Ibrahim Osman from Nordsjaellands, Nathaniel Adjei from France, and Diomande Mohammed from Rangers of Scotland. Another newcomer in the squad is Frederick Asare from Asante Kotoko. Additionally, Tariq Lamptey from Brighton and Hove Albion has made a return to the squad after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the Africa Cup of Nations. Patrick Kpozo, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Edmund Addo have also been welcomed back to the team.

Notable names in the squad include captain Andre Ayew, forward Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Osman Bukari, Samed Abdul Samed, and Elisha Owusu. Following the match against Nigeria, Ghana will play against Uganda four days later. The team is gearing up for these upcoming matches with a mix of experienced players and promising newcomers as they seek to build a strong team for future competitions.
