Olatunji expressed his disbelief, recalling, “Even the doctors that examined her said her body ought to have started decaying, at the level that it was.” The dire situation required immediate and expensive medical intervention: “We were told to do two urgent surgeries worth N12.5 million for her to be able to walk again.”

Faced with the daunting financial burden, Olatunji made a drastic decision. “I sold my two cars cheaply for N4 million. The dealer cheated me but I just had to save her life,” he said. The first surgery alone cost N7.8 million, and his wife spent two weeks in a Lagos hospital before tragically passing away.
