Kadoma businessman Jimayi Muduvuri has undertaken a significant national project to construct clinics for war veterans, people with disabilities, and the elderly. In an interview with the Daily News, Muduvuri shared that he was inspired by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision for universal healthcare and aimed to support war veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Expressing his gratitude towards President Mnangagwa for the assistance provided during his medical treatment in South Africa, Muduvuri emphasized his commitment to constructing clinics in all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe. These modern facilities draw inspiration from revolutionary figures like Joshua Nkomo, Robert Mugabe, and President Mnangagwa. Currently, four clinics in Manicaland, Midlands, Bulawayo, and Mashonaland West provinces have been completed and are prepared to offer medical services to war veterans, disabled individuals, and members of the community. Muduvuri’s vision extends to establishing advanced healthcare facilities equipped with the latest technology in all provinces, ensuring convenient access to quality healthcare for former revolutionary cadres and people with disabilities, particularly in remote areas.
By investing in the health sector and promoting affordable healthcare services, Muduvuri aims to make a positive impact on public health. In 2022, he inaugurated the Muduvuri Pan-African Hospital with 1,540 beds, staffed by specialist medical professionals and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The hospital provides free medical treatment, further demonstrating Muduvuri’s commitment to improving healthcare access for all individuals in Zimbabwe.
