City Square devt bid sparks uproar

The proposed redevelopment of Kampala City Square into a real estate complex has run into headwinds, kicking up a robust opposition from many actors demanding that the public space be left untouched.

President Museveni, in an August 30 letter, directed Ms Minsa Kabanda, the Kampala Capital City Authority and Metropolitan Affairs minister, to evaluate the proposal by Mr Hassan Bulwadda to redevelop the two-acre land into a modern real estate complex.
