Hundreds of residents, local leaders and development partners gathered at Kiziba Playground in Rakai District on September 9, 2026, to celebrate the legacy of World Vision Uganda, an organisation that has spent two decades working to improve the lives of children and families in the area.

The mood was both celebratory and emotional as residents recounted how the organisation’s interventions helped transform communities that once struggled with child malnutrition, limited access to clean water, low literacy levels, child-headed households and widespread poverty.
