Kamuli residents demand justice for man shot at boxing event

Concerned residents in Kamuli are demanding justice for the family of Hussein Tenywa, who was shot dead during a boxing event at Muzuri Guest House in Bunangwe Cell last Saturday.

Residents allege Tenywa was shot by Presidential Police Guard (PPG) officers attached to  Kamuli Municipality Chairperson Eric Mugabi Mbiira.

The incident followed a confrontation between Tenywa and an armed guard attached to Mbiira, reportedly over access to the boxing event organised by Uganda Boxing Association (UBA).
