Two killed, nine injured as Sinotruk crashes into vehicles on Kampala-Hoima Highway

Two people have been killed and nine others injured after a Sinotruk lost control and rammed into three vehicles at Nkoowe along the Kampala-Hoima Highway in Wakiso District.

The crash occurred at about 1:33pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, involving a Sinotruk, a Toyota Hiace commuter taxi, a Subaru Forester and a Toyota Wish.

Traffic police spokesperson Michael Kananura said the “Sinotruk, registration UBK 495F, was carrying stones from Kakiri towards Kampala when it lost control at Nkoowe and crashed into the three vehicles, including the commuter taxi that had stopped to load…
